Overview

Role Purpose:

The Delivery Manager is responsible for the setup and implementation of websites and features within the various Ladbrokes Coral brands, with programmer deliverables on the one hand and product expectations/requirements on the other.

This person is responsible for planning and managing the delivery process from A to Z, including, time planning, gathering information, following task and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the delivery process from beginning to end:
  • During initiation phases, the Delivery Manager will gather all necessary information from the Marketing staff and\or from the Product Managers, ensuring the full coordination between the Web Developer and the Designer and other involved parties.
  • During development or maintenance, the Delivery Manager ensures that all tasks are being completed correctly, on time and within the budget.
  • During implementation, the Delivery Manager may be asked to help troubleshoot on a variety of issues brought forth by the Marketing staff, Product Managers or other stakeholders.
  • Accountable for proactively identifying, monitoring, and controlling any risks, assumptions and constraints so that the company’s projects outcomes are not affected.
  • Receive frequent and thorough updates on the project’s progress to ensure its running according to its defined timeline.
  • Ensure the development process is clear and that the timeframe is correctly communicated and understood.
  • Managing the User Acceptance Test (UAT) team located in Gibraltar and release process to ensure resources are available to meet the project deadline. This includes ensuring that the team is well aware on the features released and risks involved.
  • Managing the integration process, includes monitoring and managing the various groups’ deliverables (Spec, User stories, Graphic materials commercial etc.) and 3rd parties’ integration, including Playtech.
  • Manage and tracks the availability of resources, including access to organizational assets to ensure the schedule incorporates optimal resource allocation.
  • Conducts retrospective meetings, presents previous processes implementation and developments in order to learn from previous experience, keep the team up to date with new technological trends and challenges.
  • Be the connecting link between the Development teams and the Product Owners.
  • Responsible for spotting warning signs, to foresee and remove blockers before they become problematic – providing constructive challenges to senior management on various technological issues.
  • Should actively participate in the Agile delivery process; sharing and re-applying skills and knowledge, and bring in best practice across the organisation and government.
  • Take significant part in planning processes, prioritising the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team. This might include facilitating daily Stand-ups (short period meetings) and other Scrum ceremonies, and coaching teams on Agile techniques.
  • Managing team dynamics and creating a culture of innovation while working across departments and other boundaries.
  • Seeking constructive outcomes in discussions and challenging traditional assumptions while remaining willing to compromise when it is beneficial to progress.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Experience with large scale integration projects.
  • Significant experience working in fast-paced, technology-led environment, serving both internal and third-party platforms.
  • Extensive experience utilizing project tools and methodologies to best advantage.
  • Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven leadership skills – experience in motivating high performing teams.
  • A proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget in a highly pressurized 24/7 environment.
  • Significant experience in managing and leading people in matrix management.
  • Able to deliver stable products of high quality.
  • Significant experience in risk management processes.
  • Significant experience with Agile methodology.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Uncompromising commitment and obligation to quality.
  • Experience in working and manage 3rd party associates or vendors.
  • Advanced experience with project managements tools such as MS- project, PowerPoint, Excel and Jira.
